Ok, here's the situation. Parents went away on a weeks vacation, and they left the keys to the brand new porsche...
No, really. I am in a financial nightmare right now. I am in the position to sell some of my beloved record collection. I have posted a list of my records at www.squareblue.com/jesse.
If there are any records that you want, and are willing to pay a good amount for them, let me know. jesse@team-mcs.com
Now, not to be a dick, but if you are only willing to pay something like $10 for a rare record i will probably not want to part with it. Sorry. I need to pay rent, not buy lunch. Boo for Jesse. Hooray for you.

tour prep is coming along rather nicely. the cds are so close to being done i can smell it. as soon as we get the last batch of new shirts, we can roll them up and be done with them too. things are good. we're excited and looking forward to seeing everyone.
in other news, my folks got a new life insurance policy. this means that some stranger has to come to my current residence with a big suitcase full of scary things and give me a physical. what's wrong with this world? too bad we're going on tour for a little bit. actually, i wouldn't be surprised if they decide to send someone to meet me at one of the Warped dates to take my blood and make me wee in a cup. gross. sorry. whatever.
enjoy the friday. go see goldmember.
i love.....

Yesterday was a productive day in MCS tour preparation. Trailer hitch, van cleaning, tires, 700 cd's. Boom, daddy.

I got the movie Amelie on dvd. I just finished watching it for the second time. Oh my god, this is one of the best movies i have ever seen. It is done by the same fellow that directed Delecatessin and City Of Lost Children. It is absolutly magnificent. I highly recommend it to all.
My back is killing me. I have been hunched over a paper cutter all day. I am cutting open 1000 floppy discs for our cd packaging. Weeeeeeeee! 400 down, 600 to go. Then we have to peel off 1000 labels, and put 1000 stickers on the discs, and then insert 1000 cd's, and then put 1000 inserts in the packaging too. Tons of fun. We just want to make our fans happy and have totally kick ass hand made packaging to blow your minds. Or, we are just dumb.
Then, in a couple of days we get to roll up like 400 t-shirts. All this fun, so we have nice stuff to give all of you nice people on the road of ROCK! See ya in a couple of days. Sweet!

I don't think I fell asleep last night until near 5am. Then I woke up around 10am and could not go back to sleep. I guess 5 hours is acceptable, I have just been sleeping more than that lately. A whole lot more.
Watched Wet Hot American Summer last night for about the 4th time last night. That has to be the greatest stupid movie ever. Dare I call it the Holy Grail of our generation? Everytime I watch it I catch some jokes I didn't catch before. So stupid, yet so brilliant. Theres pretty much no point to anything that happens in that movie. Fabulous.
Yesterday was entirely too hot. Today better be much cooler, or else it'll have to answer to these guns.

I almost forgot. I saw The Neverending Story last night at the uptown theater. One of my childhood favorites. I was still scared of the nothing.
check it out.
i'm typing again. yesterday i went and saw a breakdance competition at the new union. it was radical. lots of kids gettin' thier freak on and buggin' out. i would've blown 'em away with my righteous moves, so like a gentleman i stepped off and let them rip. friday night i went to the breeders show. when they played they were awesome, but nearly the same amount of time was spent drinking beer and smoking cigarettes. some dickface kept requesting "tony's theme," kim replied with, "wrong band, duke." he wouldn't shut up though. she did play a few bars of "gigantic" and everyone went nuts. for the most part they were sloppy and drunk. i keep running into people from back in the day. it's total crazy pony show. it's like, what's happening? haven't seen you since that time at the place with the guy and his 10 foot tall japanese robot machine. sometimes i don't know what to say to people. so i don't. tonight i feast on paperback. sweet dreams sweetheart, you're gonna need 'em.
It has been an alright week. I saw mòm play on wednesday. They were amazing. They are a band from Iceland. They play cello, accordian, live drums, guitar, bass, melodica, hand bells, stage piano, and have two twin sisters that sing also. I swear that the ozone over Iceland is made of helium. Those voices, oh those voices. I watched Mosters Ball on dvd. It is a great movie. My favorite actor in it is Mos Def. He was so good. I also watched Cast Away. People told me that it wasn't that good, but i really liked it. I actually thought it was funny. I do think the end could be done different, but whatever.
We have been practicing a lot. That rules. We now have three new songs on the way. Oh my golly. I can't wait till we can play them live. ROCK!
