Still adjusting to the new haircut...

There is an extremely intense argument going on as I type this, between Dauber and Hayden, on this very special episode of Coach on the tv right now. Man, and can you tell me WHY they didn't win emmy's for thier work in that scene? Saturday is not exactly an exciting tv day. Not that it should be, I suppose. You should be out doing something. Which we were, but now we're back. OK? Get off my back! Jeez! When I got in this afternoon, I couldn;t stop watching the infomercial for Epil Stop and Spray (not to be confused with Nads). You know, that hair remover stuff? It was really disgusting. Making me cringe a little as I watched. Yet, I couldn't stop watching. You can't tell me that stuff doesn't hurt.

A little trip to the Mall of America and going to see The Stereo appear to be on the agenda for tonight. So until next time...

The adventures of Tony Thaxton's haircut frustrations.

Okay, I had not actually gone somewhere to get my haircut in a long, long time. I would usually cut it myself, or have a friend do it. Well, my hair had been getting longer, which i liked(not long, but shaggy). But it was started to look bad and annoy me. I was asking around for some opinions on what to do with it, and got some suggestions on where to go to get it cut. Well, today I did that. I told them, keep most of the length, just cut it some, and basically, make it look good, I'm in your hands. Maybe I shouldn't have said that. Now I basically have short hair. Not exactly what I had in mind. There's nothing I can do about it now. Maybe it's just too fresh right now, give it another day and I will like it better. I kind of doubt it though. Ah well, what can I do about it? Nothing! Everyone was nice though at the place that shall remain nameless. I don't hold a grudge, maybe I should have been clearer. I don't know.

Do you like movies? So do I. One I'm dying to see is Michael Moore's new flick, "Bowling for Columbine". Too bad the odds are against it coming out. Not showing?

From TheScout.net:

Rodney Sellers from Sense Field's daughter has been seriously injured in a car accident. His four-year-old daughter, Leilani, is in a coma after she and her mother were in a car accident on May 12th in Southern California. According to a spokesperson for the band, a driver ran a red light and struck the Ford Explorer carrying mother and child, causing it to roll over three times. The prognosis is that Leilani will survive but will need long-term, possibly life-long, care. However, the maximum expenditure of her health coverage is expected to be reached within the next few weeks. To raise funds for Leilani, Sellars has begun a fund and is asking people to send checks and money orders to:

Leilani Guitierrez

c/o Globe Packaging 179 E. 17th Street

Box 400

Costa Mesa CA 92627.

Cards to Rodney and Leilani can be sent to

SenseField

3940 Laurel Canyon Boulevard #165

Studio City CA 91604

Theres an update on Leilanis condition at Sensefield.com

I and a few of my fellow MCS fellows had the chance to meet Sensefield a couple of years ago. They were exceptionally nice people and our thoughts are with them.

Alien Ant Farm were apparently in a terrible crash in Spain last week which killed their driver. Several members of the band were hospitalized, and the singer may need back surgery. Now I just can't wait to get back in the van and sleep on the loft.

Mental note: Don't tour England.

We've been working on some new songs, just like Adema, who had to wrack their brains for a tune for the new Mortal Kombat video game. Title? "Immortal". Their second choice was "Kombat".

It turned out to be a pretty nice Memorial day yesterday. After Josh, Justin and I had an officially bad songwriting practice, Josh invited me to go out on his parents boat for awhile. It was a nice time and perfect weather for it. We rode into Wisconsin, at least I think we did. I always forget Wisconsin is as close as it is to Minnesota.

Why am I so lazy? I sleep late, then eat lunch, then feel tired. Why? Why? Why? I need a job, perhaps that is part of it. I may even end up going back to my old job. Ugh. Well, hopefully I'll have it all figured out when I get back home in a week.

Memorial day. To slightly paraphrase Primus, funny thing about holidays when youre unemployed, they don't mean quite so much.

Thanks to all who came out to the show last night. We had a good, HOT time. It was fun, but I wanted to throw up when we were done. I think the official temperature in the club was 136 degrees. I'm not sure about that, but I am at least close. My brain definitely said,"Turn on the sweat machine." I forgot to mention that yesterday was Justin's birthday too! He celebrated by making it the second consecutive show where he fell down. Congratulations, Justin.

Whats going on the rest of memorial day? Boat ride? Perhaps. Food? Perhaps. Movie? Perhaps? A game of Hungry Hungry Hippos? Perhaps. Goat breeding? Perhaps. I don't know.

Yesterdays ACTUAL celebrity birthday, Justin Pierre is 26.
Todays celebrtiy birthday, Christopher Lee is 80.

Went to see Insomnia last night. I wasn't really all that crazy about it. I didn't hate it, but I thought I would like it more. I definitely like Christopher Nolan's other two movies much better. Perhaps I was distracted by the stomach problems I was having during the movie. It wasn't a good scene. But that was over and done with quick enough. Overall, Insomnia a very so-so movie.

By the way, we recieved an email from some people who came to the House of Blues show on Tuesday who drove down from Wisconsin and on their way back got in a terrible accident. We are very thankful to hear that they all survived, though, one of them is in need of surgery. I would like to wish her the best of luck with everything. You are in our thoughts. They warned us, and I'll warn all of you, watch out for deer when driving!
