Bah. I have to have 3 windows open to blog.
Anyways, heres a non-bashing link for you Star Wars fans. Did you see the little things? Click me.
I finished the Sopranos Second Season today. All 27 episodes released on DVD so far, in under one week. I amaze myself.
Perfect SNL episode: Waynes World opener, Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz in the expensive clothing store, Christopher Walken in the hotel room (the Continental?), Will Farrell doing Harry Caray, Weekend Update, musical guest Vanilla Ice, and close it out with Tracy Morgan's outspace skit.
I watched a lot of movies this week. Last night I watched another. Mulholland Drive. What did I think of it you ask? Well, I'm going to have to give it a big WTF? I thought it moved really slow, and surprise surprise, it didn't make any sense. And for once I don't think that it is me just not being able to figure out what was going on. I wonder if even David Lynch could explain it. It moved pretty slow, and I kept wondering why certain things were happening, and I don't think I ever found out. It was wierd, but fairly normal for the first hour and a half. Then all of the sudden it got extremely strange and I got lost. I mean, I kind of expected that honestly. David Lynch. I don't know.
Tonight, me and my fellow dorks are going to watch Saturday Night Live since it is Mr. Will Ferrell's final episode. I love that man. He absolutely kills me. Lets just hope he goes off to actually make some good movies. Sometimes the SNLers do, and sometimes they make horrid, horrid movies. It looks as if Tracy Morgan might have to step up next. "Rocket...I'm taking a rocket."
Tomorrow morning at 7:35am, I board my flight to Minnesota. I'll be there for about 2 weeks. In that time we have 3 shows(hopefully more??) and we will be doing some writing. I think we're anxious to do some more writing with this new lineup, since we haven't had that much time to do it yet. Here's what to expect, bodacious rock anthems.

Holy crap Tony - check this out! Fox Celebrity Boxing.
"And just added to the card are two whiny, wiry-haired former TV stars--Ron "Horshack" Palillo from Welcome Back, Kotter facing off against Dustin "Screech" Diamond from Saved by the Bell."
Review of Star Wars that I find humorous. Its from the fine folks at unrealisiticexpectations.com.
So I saw Star Wars last night. Here is what I thought...
I loved it. A huge improvement from The Phantom Menace. There was much more going on, and a more interesting story. Sure there were some slow spots and some cheesy-ness, but all of the Star Wars movies have them. When the slow scenes came, it was basically to advance the storytelling some, but when they came out of the slow scenes, it more than recovered. There were some great battle scenes and fun moments. One battle towards the end (I'll try not to give away too much) was fantastic. The theatre went crazy for it. Let me just say:Yoda. There was so much to take in, and so a few things I was a little confused about. I'm sure I will be seeing it again very soon. NERD ALERT!
thats my .02.

Minnesota is #1 for the sixth straight year. Virginia is #4. In your face, Ace.
Scientific study proves MN #1!
And I did cook something. I also did my own laundry, and dressed myself.
Regardless of what Austin thinks, I am ready and excited for tonight's midnight Star Wars. All I look for is to have fun with a movie. That's all. I'm not super critical. It's a Star Wars movie, isn't fun supposed to be the point? Don't make me slap you! Go and cook something.
Even though we already have our tickets, it looks like we're going to have to get there really early. Apparently people started showing up last night and getting in line already. I mean, I am a huge Star Wars fan and all, but isn't that a little much people?
Quick sidenote...I am about to shoot my computer with a machine gun. i'll make sure to hit the mouse too.

I finished the entire first season of the Sopranos. It is so addicting. I was a little let down by how the season finale ended, but I know theres Sopranos Season II: Ganster Boogaloo awaiting me.
I made myself some home fries with cheese and salse this morning. Needless to say, it rocks socks.
That whole House of Blues thing is a little ridiculous. Easily the largest venue I've ever played. I hear they are super nice to the bands there. I'm really excited. And this will commemorate our 1,000th show in IL so far this year.
Star Wars is going to suck. Admit it. Down deep you know it. I'm not saying it won't be fun, or that you won't enjoy it. But the enjoyment will be akin to "Dude, Wheres My Car?". It will look spectacular. And the acting will suck. There will be little to no plot. And Jengo Fett will rule. Isn't Jengo a game with wood blocks?
As I was typing this, I learned that the Sopranos will return to HBO this September. I guess its been a year and a half since Season 3 ended. Season 3 comes out on DVD August 27th.
So in case you didn't hear yet, Motion City Soundtrack opening up for Something Corporate at the HOUSE OF BLUES in CHICAGO! I can't explain to you how excited I am about playing this show. I never really expected to be playing at the House of Blues. May 21st. Check it.
Last night, after My Parents' Birthday band practice, I watched Don't Say A Word. Or as they should of called it, Don't Watch This Movie. OOOOHHHH! Badum bum. Maybe that's a little harsh, but it wasn't very good. I have Oceans Eleven on deck for tonight, thanks to my nifty rent one, get one free coupon. I also watched The Cell on cable. Anyone seen this? It's a pretty intense movie. There are some crazy things going on visually in that movie. I actually enjoyed it. I think thats the first time I've ever said that about a Jennifer Lopez movie. It was pretty disturbing at times.
Austin, why the anger?

Pale, friendless nerds, here is your chance to become a Jedi Knight!
Ben Gaye. That was great.
I have watched the first 10 episodes of the Sopranos Season 1 DVDs in less than 24 hours. I am addicted to it like crack. It is so well done, I can't get over it.
Star Wars II: Intergalactic Boogaloo is going to suck eggs. I didn't see Episode 1, and I won't see 2 or 3 either. I expect to hear "the movie sucked, but the effects were good" a lot.
So last night I went out to a show with a friend, Curtis. We saw our friend Daniel funk it up on the piano. During a break in the festivities, the three of us got to talking that we should all get together and play some music. We used to do that a lot when we were in high school, but just haven't had much of a chance to play together since then. They both just graduated from college, with music degrees no less. We said, we should play the music of Ben Folds and Marvin Gaye. The name of our band: Ben Gaye. Yes, I know, long setup for such little payoff. But hey, its true.
Speaking of music, my band here in Richmond, My Parents' Birthday, is practicing today for the first time in a long, long time. We hope to write some songs to blow your minds. It will happen. Oh yes, it will happen. Think Fugazi meets the Beach Boys. That meeting should occur in as little less than an hour from now. Did I mention both Ian McKaye and Brian Wilson are in this band? Ok, maybe not.
So is it just me, or do I look really wierd in the new pic on the front page of the new site? I don't know, maybe it's me.

Happy Mothers Day?
I just returned from a Mothers Day meal with my mom and dad. What kind of fancy meal did we have? Pizza. That's right, pizza. I was happy with that, I can't stop craving pizza as of late. It was about all that we ate on our tour, but for some reason, I can't get enough.
I am awaiting a call from my friend so we can hang out tonight. He just finished up college and is graduating next weekend, so we are ready to paint the town brown. I have a week to do that before i head back to Minnie Soda. Wow time is flying by.
Worst blog ever...
