Richmond, VA temperature today...73 degrees.
Minneapolis, MN temperature today...penguins were complaining of frostbite.
Josh don't ever fuck with my blogs ever again.
Days dont get any nicer than today in RVA. Sunny. 73. Delicious. I even got off of work 2 hours early. Got to enjoy some of the day. It was bike ride time when i got home. I need a bike riding partner, any takers?
So yesterday was an eventful day. I promised an update, so here it is. My other band, My Parents' Birthday had our first practice in MONTHS. Let me give you a little backstory. We started playing shows last summer, with me on guitar and vocals. Well, when fall came, our drummer got engaged. Congrats to him, thats great. BUT, the problem was, he then moved to ALASKA. Yes, Alaska. I'm not complaining, we were happy for him. We just hated to see him go. So, our last show was in November. We have been at a big standstill since then. We want to keep the band going, we have too much fun with it. So, we are making the adjustment. I think we are now becoming a power trio. I'm switching back to the drums. It's going to be a little wierd, because i still do a fair amount of the vocals. But hey, there's no rules in rock, right? It's going to be fun though. We are writing some new stuff, and rearranging some older stuff for the new lineup. It's going to be alot of fun. Should we keep the same name, since it's kind of different now? Yes, I know, My Parents' Birthday is a goofy name. But we are some goofy bastards ok? So what should we do? Email us, let us know. MyParentsBrthday@aol.com.
After practice we went to see Donnie Darko. I loved it. I was not bored at all. It was funny, freaky at times, sci-fi time-travely, fun, interesting. And Richmond's own, Richard Kelly wrote and directed it. Nice debut for him. What do I know though?
Anyone find out who Eddie Deezen is yet? My friends are I are becoming obsessed with him now I think. Find out. I'm telling you. If you find out, email me your favorite Eddie Deezen memory.
Todays celebrity birthday, Gary Numan is 44.

so i need a nap, i know i am cranky but lay off just cause i ripped the leg off the cat doesnt mean that i wanted to kill it.. i mean fuck you all on your high tower, and by the way best in show fucking rocks after a good run..
the million dollar hotel is a fascinating motion picture. it's not great, but it's not ungreat either.
why all the questions? quit bothering me. i'm not agitated, but don't people know that over a long enough period of time, sound disintegrates? sometimes things just have to be accepted for what they are (or what they aren't).
boogienoodle.

i am so evil....
So here is my story. I work at this fine restaurant, pizza luce in uptown Minneapolis MN. I am a waiter. two nights ago I am waiting tables and these two guys come in. One of the guys has a mudvaine jacket on. it isn't a normal mudvaine jacket you buy at one of their shows, it is the kind of jacket the guys in mudvaine have. So I run back into the back and tell the other employees that yes I am waiting on mudvaine (which I find hilarious). and one of my coworkers is like yeah they live across the street now in that big house were they are currently writing their new record. I think this is really funny and as these two guys (the singer and guitar player from mudvain) drink 100 dollars in wine I run around yelling "walking the tight rope walking the tight rope" I think it is pretty funny maybe I am alone..
Alright that is all for now

I love blooging josh. You know what else I love? Speillcheck. I'm such an ass. It's all out of love.
I've been neglecting the blogging lately, not on purpose mind you. Just been keeping busy since getting back home. Is there a better feeling in the world than returning back to work after a month off? Yes, I'm pretty sure there is. I returned to work on Monday, and I want to cry every so often because I am a lazy bastard and the time off from work made me lazier. With the return to work, has come my lack of sleep. Monday night I went out to see The Devil's Workshop, a badass big band jazz group here in Richmond that some of my friends play in. Wonderful. They play every Monday, and i may become a regular now. Did you ever think you would hear a big band play a song off of Kid A? Me niether, but now I have.
Last night, i went to see my old band, Gregor Samsa. It was the first I had seen them since my departure from the band. They sounded great though. It was a little strange watching as an outsider, but it was cool. Her Space Holiday also played, but I am a jerk and had to leave before they played. Early morning work, so the bed was calling my name. Work, blech.
What do I do tonight? First step, make some din din.
Todays celebrity birthday, Eddie Deezen is 45. Don't know who he is? Find out. Then you'll know. Trust me, you should know.

I would just like to let the MCS boys know that i ate at the Krispy Kreme in Richmond tonight. It was so delicious(in a Harry Caray voice). They were hot off the press. Literally hot, and hard to hold, they would crumble. So sugary. Fab.
Todays celebrity birthday, "Grandmaster B" David Faustino is 28. Doesn't he play drums in Creed now?
