Damn this cold! I wake up everday with a sore throat, then it goes away, then comes back the next morning. Anyone know any good fast remedies, let me know, I'm sick of it.
Practiced again last night and my right arm decided not to show up. Instead, Stiffarm Magruder showed his ugly face. We're practicing again tonight, so hopefully old faithful righty will come tonight. Practice time is widing down, we have 3 shows coming up next weekend, and then we record the new record the week after that.
Oh, and in case you didn't know...5 bands Tenacious D is better than...
Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Who,The Rolling Stones, Beethoven.

You would think that for someone who goes bowling semi-regularly, I could bowl a higher score than a 101. And whats even worse, thats a good score for me. The Bruce Campbell appearance at the Evil Dead showing was sold out tonight, so that led to a night of bowling. Two games, 101 being my high score. I won't tell you what I bowled in the first game.
Snow has been falling all day here. I talk to my friends back home in RVA and they tell me its 80 degrees there. craziness i tell you. sheer craziness.
We're here currently working on cleaning out my closet/room. I bought a brand spanking new air mattress last night, so it's being put in the closet and that is going to be my new room while I'm here. Hopefully the kitties will steer clear. It's a cat free/allergy zone.
I just remembered that the wonderful Tenacious D is on Craig Kilborn tonight. i'm pleased about that. Also, I'm pretty sure that Phantom Planet is on Letterman tonight too. In case you didn't know, that is Jason Schwartzman(of Rushmore)'s band. I've never heard them, so I'm curious. A fun night of tv is ahead. In case you haven't figured it out, I watch too much tv.

Would you believe that i never saw Fargo until last night? I even consider myself to be a little bit of a movie nerd, but there are just movies here and there that everyone has seen, that have just slipped past me. Another one ive never seen, the first Evil Dead. I have seen the sequels, but never the original. And its playing here tomorrow night, so perhaps that is on the to do list, who knows. Word is Bruce Campbell himself is supposed to appear. oooooooooohhhhhh. Maybe I'll start a "Be the new guys date" contest. Ok, maybe not.
Tony Thaxton - 5:51 PM

see what you did, you wrecked it all again. i really don't know what you are thinking.
mornings are hard in this town, cold air a smell of sick on everyone. Why the fuck do we live here? arge i am a pirate i'll bite your arm off.

Stanky Tony. Two practices worth of stank are upon my body. Jealous?
Fortunately, I didn't feel so bad at practice tonight. I think I just may have a slight case of cock rock boogie fever. So i guess practice served as my medicine. Hopefully I am not as sick as I was scared I was.
I was informed by Josh and the others that my previous blogs sound depressing and negative. NO! Not the case. I'm still adjusting to my new temporary home. It's been great so far, and everyone here is nice. It has felt great to rock on the drums again, it had been too long for me. I'm slowly getting back in shape. Still have a ways to go though.
OK, the shower is calling my name. "Stanky T, Stanky T" says the shower. A day of grocery and thrift store shopping await me.
Austin, stop whining.

Tony Thaxton - 11:48 PM

Austin's Records.

There. Hopefully that worked.

I don't care much for Blogger. The message board works fine. It easier for back and forth conversations...

Austin Lindstrom - 7:02 PM

I don't think my first attempt to post this worked, so I'll try it again.

I finished updating my record list which can be viewed here. I'll be selling quite a few pieces on eBay shortly to help fund recording costs.

Speaking of recording, one idea I've been mulling over is releasing a super-special 7" for our #1-100 fans. It would conveniently be limited to 100 copies, and only sold / given away through the website. Maybe we could have a contest or something? Who knows. I'm sure it will take a year to get it off the ground, if at all, but if people email me and sound interested, maybe we'll get serious about it.

In other unshocking news, I'm tired.

Coming this Friday (and every Friday), Austin's Super Vegetarian Recipe of the Week!

Austin Lindstrom - 7:01 PM

my computer says justin is a . i am really not sure what practice its going to be like tonight with everyone being sick...hmm well i am off to eat .
joshua cain - 6:05 PM

Well, I figured it was just a matter of time. Half of the people I have come in contact with since I got here have been sick I think. So guess what? I'm not feeling so well today. But I am a big boy, I can take it.
I am staying with Josh while I am here. I have been sleeping on his couch since Wednesday. HIs two cats like to harass me while i sleep. They are fine until about 6am and then they start to go pyscho and jump on top of me and scare me to death. They weren't as bad last night though. Perhaps they felt sorry for me. I doubt it. A man can dream, can't he? We might get to go and pick up a bed for me today though, and i can move into the closet, away from those beasts. But I'm sure they will find a way to get in and fondle me. They left some nice cat piss on my dirty clothes last night. SWEET!
OK, enough of my complaining.

Tony Thaxton - 2:59 PM

my computer says it's 12:56. i know it is 13 minutes fast. a truck is traveling eastbound at 30 m.p.h. based on the time written next to the date of this message: what time is it now?
justin pierre - 12:45 PM

aaaahhhhh. the sickness pushes through us all and out our noses, sick as hell.
I seem to have some sort of mental block when it comes to paying bills. I wonder if there is 12 step program for that. I think i need to join a cult or something i have very little self control and i think i would gain that in a cult, or maybe not. well i need to fix some guitars for now. more later

i spent the morning hours drinking coffee and reading the backs of trashy romance novels at the borealis cafe. the place is a dive with no character. i'm in love. i repeatedly hit on a 17 year old waitress until she had the manager throw me out. on my way out the door i tried to grab his nuts. he punched me in the back of the neck and i blacked out. i woke up a few minutes later on the concrete. half my face is still frozen. a dog shit on my coat. i smell bad, but i didn't have to pay for my coffee. sometimes life is good.

So it's me. The new guy. Well, one of them anyways. I'm Tony, the new drummer, but you can me Sally. I don't know how many people read this, but i plan on blogging a lot. I have lots of free time during my stay here in Minneapolis. For anyone that doesn't know, and if you care, i am from Richmond, VA. I used to play in a band called Submerge. Maybe you've heard of us? Who knows. I also until recently played drums in the band, Gregor Samsa. I also play guitar in a band called My Parents' Birthday. So now i am in Minneapolis for the next month and a half, trying to regain my chops and practice, play and record with MCS. It is good to be here. I know nothing and no nobody here. Email me and say hello. Tony@team-mcs.com.

Tony Thaxton - 5:30 PM

sponge bob is on, Tony and I are sitting around my place after a huge meal, pasta and bread. I think we have to finish buckaroo bonsai tonight. last night was a good attempt we got to the part were Jon parker had just dropped of the package for buckaroo when Tony started to snore. he denies this but alas it is true. practice tonight @ 7.30 but for now it is time for some juice .. I am out.
